Weighted Mean Temperature Modelling Using Regional Radiosonde Observations for the Yangtze River Delta Region in China

Precipitable water vapor can be estimated from the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signal’s zenith wet delay (ZWD) by multiplying a conversion factor, which is function of weighted mean temperature (Tm) over GNSS station. Obtaining Tm an important step in precipitable (PWV) conversion. In this study, aiming at problem that affected space and time, observations seven radiosonde stations Yangtze River Delta region China during 2015−2016 were used to establish both linear nonlinear multifactor regional model (RTM). Compared with Bevis model, results showed bias yearly one-factor RTM, two-factor RTM three-factor was reduced 0.55 K, 0.68 K 0.69 respectively. Meanwhile, RMSE one-factor, 0.56 0.80 0.83 seasonal RTMs decreased 0.06 0.10 The precision comparable RTMs, but expressions are easier use. Therefore, more suitable for calculating recommended use PWV region.
